What you need: a laptop, a Goutub account from $40/month (Starter), and a weekend. No camera, no on-screen presence, no video editing skills required. By the end — a channel with 3 published videos and a one-month content schedule.
- Niche. Grab a sheet of paper, draw three columns: "what I'm good at", "what people watch", "where the money is". List 5+ items in each. Your niche = the intersection of at least two columns.
- 3 competitor channels in your niche. 5K–200K subscribers, actively posting.
- The anomaly method. On each channel, sort by popularity → find a video with 2–3× the channel's average views → write down the topic. You now have 3–5 ready-to-use ideas.
9:00–11:00 AM · 2 videos in Goutub
Sign up at goutub.kg → Starter $40/month. Create 2 projects of 8–12 minutes each using the topics from Friday. Full pipeline (steps 1–8). Goutub processes everything in ~1.5 hours: script, voice-over, visuals, thumbnail, render. While it runs — go have breakfast.
11:00 AM–1:00 PM · YouTube channel
Create your channel. Profile picture, banner, description — 30 minutes max, it doesn't have to be perfect. These elements barely affect growth. Don't spend more than half an hour on them.
1:00–3:00 PM · 3rd video + review
Start the 3rd project in Goutub. While it renders — watch the first 2 finished videos as a viewer, not as a creator. Don't like the script / thumbnail / voice-over → use Inspector in Goutub to fix it.
10:00 AM–12:00 PM · Final packaging
Title: number + intrigue. Thumbnail: pick the most contrasting of the 6 variants (stands out from competitors, doesn't blend in). Description: chapters with timecodes + Telegram link.
12:00–1:00 PM · Publishing
First video — public, not private. The other 2 — schedule in Goutub: +4 days and +8 days from the first. Connect YouTube OAuth (Settings → YouTube) — future uploads with one click. Goutub Telegram bot: you'll get push notifications for "published" and "X views in the first hour".
1:00–2:30 PM · CTR check
30 minutes after publishing, open YouTube Studio → Analytics → Real-time. Normal CTR is 3–8%. Below 2% — your thumbnail is underperforming; swap it for the next variant from the 6 options in Goutub.
2:30–4:00 PM · Retention check
After an hour, check average view duration. For a 10-minute video, the benchmark is 2–3 minutes. Under 1 minute — there's a problem in the first minute. On your 4th video, rework the intro: the first 30 seconds = hook / promise / number — not "Hey guys, in this video…".
The first 60 minutes after publishing are a critical window. That's when YouTube decides whether to expand your reach. Don't waste it.
What not to do
- Gaps > 14 days. The algorithm forgets your channel.
- View manipulation. Bots deliver 10-second retention — the algorithm will bury you.
- Mixed topics (different subjects in one channel). The algorithm doesn't know who to show it to.
- Perfectionism. 10 "average" videos beat 1 "perfect" one — YouTube is a numbers game.
When does the money come?
| Period | Revenue |
|---|---|
| 1–3 months | $0–50 (building up to YPP requirements) |
| 4–6 months | $50–500/month (AdSense + first brand deals) |
| 6–12 months | $500–5,000/month with consistent posting |
Most channels hit the YPP threshold (1,000 subscribers + 4,000 watch hours) by month 3–6. The creator who developed this method got 200 views per video for the first 9 months — then one video hit 50,000 and things took off.
Next steps
After 30 days — 10 published videos. Top 3 by retention/CTR — create follow-up videos on exactly those topics. Ignore the rest. That's it.
